MISSIONS CAMP 2010 - August 9 - 11

Well over 100 children attended our 7th annual Missions Camp which ran during the morning hours of August 9 through 11. This year our camp hosted 4 countries - Puerto Rico, Israel, Belgium and Iran. Our campers learned about the culture from these countries as well as the language spoken. They also rotated throughout the morning by learning drama, puppets and playing International Games such as Cricket, European Handball and Japanese tag. In morning sessions, we had various missionaries share with our campers. Our 3 days concluded with an awesome Closing program featuring our campers doing puppet songs, drama and speaking the native tongue of each country.

WE LOVE AMERICA SUNDAY - July 4 2010

July 4 2010 fell on a Sunday and we decided to celebrate during the 10:15 am service in the auditorium. Our program featured Magic Vinny Vetere as well as Pastor Dave's puppets. RESURRECTION CELEBRATION - April 4, 2010

Sunday, April 4, 2010 is a day when millions of churches around the world celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ. On ongoing tradition at SGT since 2003 has been to host a Resurrection Celebration for children ages 5 to grade 4 in our gym.
This year we had the privilege of hosting 3 at 8:30 am, 10:15 am & 12:15 pm. 2 puppet characters made their debut at this incredible event...Tiki the Toucan, a new ventriloquist figure by Pastor Dave and Scriptureman, a new puppet who was inside a new puppet stage on wheels! There were also 2 object lessons taught by various leaders and a bible lesson. The event ended with a craft the kids made to remember spring and the new life they have in Jesus Christ.

DO YOU KNOW THE ANSWER - March 21, 2010

For our second year, Kidz for Christ hosted our ever popular Game Show "Do you Know the Answer" featuring our host, Wade Winalot. Our kids were quizzed on lessons they learned from February 21, 28 & March 7. Our games included the "Snake Can Game", Wheel of Questions", "3 Boxes" and "Fill in the Blank." It was nearly impossible to stump these kids! They all did such a great job when it comes to knowing all the answers.
Be looking for some new game shows this summer at SGT!!

CHILDREN'S WEEK OF PRAYER - January 10-15, 2010

It was the start of a new year, a new decade and hey, what better way to start then with prayer! On Sunday & Tuesday evenings, our kids prayer walked the entire church and school grounds. Every classroom, office and building was covered in prayer and each SCS teacher was extremely appreciative. On Wednesday evening our kids prayed for their schools. On Thursday we lifted up four missionaries we support (The Blacks in Nigeria, The Bracketts in Malaysia, The Doty's in Indonesia and Lee Anne Risk in Mexico). We concluded our awesome week as we gathered and prayed for our country and government. It was a busy yet productive week and we thank God that our kids were blessed to lift each other as well as others they do not know in prayer!
